Gabby | a Ballerina Senior Story | Covington Imagery

I had the pleasure of creating moments with the lovely Gabby Estep a ballet student at The NYC Ballet.  We had a gorgeous fall day to play and she was game to try anything.  And she didn’t even laugh at my horrible attempts to explain positions that I thought would be cool.   I may have perfect ballerina feet (my best friend growing up was a ballerina and she coveted my perfect arch) but I do not have ballerina grace anywhere else.      I’m glad that I am the one with the camera so that no one caught those attempts on film.

Lords of Mercy 11/8/11 Highline Ballroom

Lords of Mercy was the first act of the Anvil extravaganza.  I was there to shoot Shitkill, the decimatingly awesome speed metal band of merry teenagers.  But more on them later.

First up was Lords of Mercy and they came out exuberant to be opening for Anvil, duh, who wouldn’t be!  They had a lot of energy and really rocked out gritty NJ metal style.  Perfect start to the night.
