Stand Returns to Mercury Lounge

On May 7th I headed in to Mercury Lounge to revisit Stand and am so glad I jumped in my car and returned to nYc specifically for this show.  I first/last saw the Irish lads at Mercury Lounge about 2 1/2 or 3 years ago on the invite of my friend Kimbra Hickey.  I remember really digging the music and was excited to see how it had evolved.  I was not disappointed.  Stand is a damn good band.  They rock and roar the anthem of all that is wonderful about rock n roll – guitars, great songs and good times and they always look like they are just having a damn good time being a damn good band.  I’m a fan.
