The Ricecookers at Piano's | Music Photography | NYC

As a photographer, I love getting to venues early to see the opening bands play so I can get a sense of the space, lighting and mood of the night.  As a music lover, I love getting to hear bands that I might not have come across otherwise!  The band rocking before Jay Liebowitz at Piano’s was  THE RICECOOKERS and they brought the energy.  Hair flying, sweat spraying, hard hitting drums and a pounding bass got Piano’s on their feet.  I loved the bilingual songs and they prove that music is its own language because I didn’t need to understand everything to get into their sound.
